Pastor Kevin Hobi has been the pastor of New Boston Baptist Church since 2007. His ministry goal is summarized in 1 Pet. 5:2-4, “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”
Pastor is a graduate of Bob Jones University (BA, MA, PhD) and Western Connecticut State University (MBA). His dissertation titled, Union with Christ and the Old Testament Believer: A Test Case for Theological Systems, examines the way the doctrine of union with Christ helps us to understand how the Old and New Testaments cohere together as one authoritative scriptural revelation for man. He serves the Lord as a member of the Council of Seven of the Northeast Regular Baptist Fellowship of Churches and as the Treasurer of the Fellowship. He also serves as Treasurer for the American Council of Christian Churches. He is the Editor of the Review, the official organ of the Independent Baptist Fellowship of North America, and the administrator of Here I Stand Books. Pastor also serves the Lord on the boards of Arch Ministries and Camp Northfield (MA).
Pastor was ordained for gospel ministry by the Baptist Church of Danbury, CT in 1992. His wife, Maureen, and he are blessed with three children, their spouses, and three precious grandchildren.
